Pylon is the name of my band, formed in 1979. The name came from the meaning of pylon that is a safety cone, and we were inspired by their monolithic, industrial beauty.
I drew some pylons back in those days, and they were used to decorate at one of our live shows. A few sketchier "studies" of pylons were done, then nothing -- until 2004. That's because our band has reformed, and we are looking back at the influences of our earliest days, which includes the image of the pylon.
