| These photos were made on assignment by
Surface magazine after being a 2002 finalist in the Avant Guardian portfolio.
I was assigned to shoot guys in Levi's Red & Premium denim. The shoot
was not included in the 5th Annual portfolio. I was chosen by Surface as a finalist based on my submission of a series of art images, Size Life. These images explored the changing notion of male vaniety, which I did through images of attractive but "regular" guys that I knew. A large number of people assisted me on this shoot, including several models who are not pictured in this edit of the shoot.
